Well, I screwed up again. I didn't see the instructions at the bottom of the box for my new SPL front end-links and torqued the first bolt down to the torque specified by the FSM. I didn't even get to the bottom of the specified torque range when the bolt snapped. Eventually I found the instructions and noticed the big bold letters saying not to torque more than 15-20 ft-lbs. ::facepalm:: Fortunately the nice guys at SPL are shipping me a replacement bolt. Hooray for no-hassle customer service! Anyway, I hope this post helps people avoid doing the same in the future.
